Don't B Afraid
As an undiagnosed person, entering a session can be daunting. Once you and the physician do some digging and you find out what those mental illnesses are, you may not ever feel comfortable with the diagnosis, but you will feel relieved that now that you know what you are dealing with, and that you can get the help.
During these sessions, you are discussing and ferreting out some of the most painful or dark circumstances that have brought you to where you are. You also may discuss, wonderful memories or experiences that have made you who you are. During the time you were undiagnosed, you were also in a state of discovery. You were unaware of the illness, but you were still learning and discovering, trying to figure out what was wrong. While participating in individual sessions, you are evaluating yourself. You are directly confronting the root causes of your illness. You are being honest and candid in a way where many things may come out that are traumatizing or life giving.
